Understanding Invisalign

Invisalign is a modern orthodontic treatment that uses a series of custom-designed, clear plastic aligners to gradually shift teeth into their ideal positions — without the metal wires and brackets of traditional braces. Each aligner is seamlessly tailored from digital scans of your smile, offering both discretion and comfort.

How the treatment works:

1. Consultation & Digital Planning You’ll start with a thorough evaluation. Using 3D scanning or photographs, Dr. Eleni Papadopoulos will create a precise digital model to design your personalized treatment plan — often offering a simulation so you can preview your soon-to-be smile.

2. Aligner Fabrication & Wear Schedule Once your plan is finalized, a sequence of BPA-free aligners is created and delivered at once. You typically wear each aligner for 20–22 hours per day, switching to the next one every 1–2 weeks.

3. Check-Ups & Adjustments Expect visits every 4–8 weeks so your dentist can monitor progress, address concerns, and supply the next aligner set.

4. Completion & Retention After finishing all aligners, your treatment ends — but the journey isn’t over. Retainers help maintain results long-term and preserve your newly aligned smile.
